‘So then, he who marries the virgin d...1 Corint. 38<br />‘So then, he who marries the virgin does right, but he who does not marry her does better.’<br />This verse is convincing to me. Although we agree that not everyone is called to live single (or married for that matter), when we consider the preferential status God places on being single, why wouldn't we want God’s best? The Lord wants 100% of us, and this verse reflects that to the point of making me feel uncomfortable with my nature. Regardless of our preferences, we need to exercise our faith in our God’s limitless power and knowledge. He promises that EVERYTHING will work for good for those that are called to love Him. Once we believe in our salvation, the details of this life should/will fade away as our spiritual eye gets stronger. My goal in light of this topic is to wake up each day with the renewed mind to commit by being to God for his desired plan of action, and know that He will supply the details according to the richness of His glory!
